What Are Lash Extensions?
Lash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are attached to your natural eyelashes to make them look longer, fuller, and darker. They come in various lengths, thicknesses, and curl types to create a customized look. Here at Natural Beauty, we offer three types of lashes: classic, hybrid, and volume.
What Are the Different Types of Lash Extensions?
There are several types of lash extensions, including:
- Classic Lashes: One extension per natural lash for a natural look.
- Hybrid Lashes: A mix of classic and volume lashes for a textured look.
- Volume Lashes: Multiple extensions per natural lash for a fuller, more dramatic effect.
How Long Do Lash Extensions Last?
We recommend fills every 2-3 weeks to maintain a full look as your natural lashes shed and new ones grow in. Because they adhere to your natural lashes, the extensions are lost as they shed.
Are Lash Extensions Safe?
Yes, lash extensions are generally safe when applied by a certified and experienced lash technician. It’s crucial to go to a reputable salon where they use high-quality products and maintain strict hygiene standards. Our lash techs use top-of-the-line NovaLash adhesive and have years of experience between them.
Can I use waterproof makeup?
No, not with the adhesive we use here at Natural Beauty in Prescott, AZ. Waterproof makeup will melt the adhesive we use.
Do you offer alternatives to lash extensions?
Yes! We also offer lash lifts & tints here at Natural Beauty by Kelly. If you don’t like the feel of extensions or the upkeep, this is a great alternative. Essentially, it gives the appearance of the world’s best mascara. After a quick appointment, your natural lashes will appear longer, fanned out, and darker. If your eyes are sensitive to mascara and eye makeup, lash lifts & tints can be a game changer!
How to Care for Your Lash Extensions
As a reminder, our adhesive isn’t the same as other lash studios! Our care instructions are a little different because of that. Below are the instructions we provide all of our Prescott lash clients:
- Avoid water for 12 hours
- Avoid steam 24 hours
- Coconut oil mask for 3-5 minutes every 2-3 days or when you wear makeup to remove the makeup ( it’s a fantastic makeup remover!) This glue needs oil so don’t be scared.
- Clean lashes every night with sensitive baby wash diluted with water by 50 % and lather, gently cleansing the lash line with a small eyeshadow brush (do this especially after the coconut oil mask)
- Do not use any type of water proof make up! It will melt this glue.
